Hell, 3 days to go, we have had 2 new converters in the last week… the correct boxes arrived containing the wrong items. Enter Ray Eldred & Geof Hauser at Hauser Race Cars who sourced us 1… in New York !!

We picked the correct bitz up on the way to Santa Pod 2 days after heart failure !   We put the car together in glorious conditions on the Thursday evening, fired up the Barbie & chilled !

Friday morning saw our usual banter with the scrutineers before they let us play.

Our 1st couple of runs were within a 10th of where we wanted to be, no excuses, we were trying to dial in another new combo so now we had a baseline.  Runs 3 & 4   were 1 100th either side of our dial put us in the 40 car field in the 12th   slot, but we eventually ended 17th, giving us the dubious honour of racing the no.1 qualifier, Carl "Gangmaster" Burton, who reaped the rewards of organising the Pro- Et Sponsorship Scheme , bagging himself cash & vouchers courtesy of the many supporters of the scheme. He also won the Eurodragster  Perfect  Run bonus…. Flash *****!!

Saturday night the rains came…… Sunday afternoon it was still   ********** raining, forcing the organisers of the event to abandon the event.
We should have been peeved but in view of our few days before the event, we came away encouraged……. Despite the abuse from the scrutineers !!!
