Pre Season Race Report 2007 - GB Racing

Here we go, charging forward towards Easter & we're still fixing 2006's damage. Unfortunately it was 2007 before we discovered the damage… we had no reason to suspect anything & were only going to perform routine maintenance!!!!!

We found damaged cylinder walls, along with pistons & re-designed combustion chambers!!! It turned out that a block we had acquired sometime back had not been machined correctly, allowing the pistons to make light contact with the combustion chambers because they were not running straight up the bore. We learnt another expensive lesson here 'cos when we purchased it we were told " its ready for racing… screw it together & go racing"

After freshening the gearbox & replacing the torque converter we thought that we would have January through to March to work on the truck & other projects…. We've still got the other projects & a few more now & Easter is just round the corner …. SEE YA THERE.
